Module 2: Biomedical Perspective

Module Description

This training module offers an overview of the biological underpinnings and theories behind Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. Volunteers will delve into the molecular mechanisms, brain alterations, and risk factors linked to these diseases. The module walks volunteers through the various stages of Alzheimer's Disease, ranging from early mild cognitive impairment to advanced dementia. Moreover, the training module presents an overview of the current treatments accessible for Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia, encompassing both pharmaceutical and non-pharmacological strategies.
