Module 4: Sociocultural Perspective
Module Description
This training module delves into the intersection of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the context of Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Volunteers will explore how factors like race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and cultural background can impact the experiences of individuals living with these conditions. The module also covers critical concepts such as social determinants of health, highlighting how systemic inequities can influence the risk factors and outcomes associated with Dementia and Alzheimer's. By gaining a deeper understanding of these topics, Volunteers will be better equipped to provide compassionate and inclusive support to those affected by Dementia and Alzheimer's.
