Elaine & Helen - Gordon College
I love spending time with my buddy and learning about her past. She is a remarkable women who owned her own summer camp and then her own funeral home. Elaine is clearly a leader and strong woman: standing up for her moral convictions on multiple occasions, have a positive attitude no matter the situation, and filled with constant joy. Elaine loves to walk and dance. She doesn't often like activities with her hands, but she finds pleasure in sitting, talking, laughing and enjoying eachothers' company.
She teaches me much about life and brightens my day each time I visit her. I hope that I can have a fraction of the amount of impact on her life as she does in mine. I am so grateful for a program like GCAB to facilitate such a dynamic and rewarding relationship. I am encouraged that other Gordon Students can partake in having such a friendship as well as students from other schools.
