NAB OPPORTUNIES — 2024-2025
All positions are open to the public - meaning undergraduate volunteers, Alzheimer's Buddies alumni, and non-Alzheimer's Buddies members of any discipline that resonate strongly with our mission can apply! Internships
Finance Intern:
Responsibilities:
Find relevant grants and work closely with the CFO to apply for such grants and plan fundraising events.
Reach out to potential corporate sponsorship
Handle any money request from chapters
Time commitment:
3-5 hours/week
Marketing Intern :
Responsibilities:
Strategize marketing plans to promote NAB’s presence online and within chapters.
Work closely with Social Media Intern(s) to expand NAB’s presence online (beyond just social media platforms).
Maintain the NAB website (www.alzbuddies.org), monthly newsletters, and generate other marketing campaigns.
Time commitment:
3-5 hours/week.
Website Designer:
Job Description:
Updating the overall layout and aesthetic for websites
Running tests to preview layouts and website features
Must be familiar with Squarespace
Time commitment:
3-5 hours/week
Chapter Relations Intern:
Job Description:
Mentor up to 5 established chapters by providing resources, mentorship and by holding 1:1 meetings
Follow google drive organization guidelines set by the chapter relations team
Work closely with Chapter Relations chair to organize volunteer events
Help make posters, presentations, etc for events and trainings
Attend all required meetings and be active with communication via slack
Additional Opportunities
Get involved in QI research projects
Start and/or work on new initiatives with the Chapter Relations team
Time commitment:
3-5 hours/week
P.S: You can be a current volunteer/director while being a chapter relations intern
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Intern:
Job Description
Leads establishment of community-based NAB chapters and DEI-related initiatives throughout existing NAB chapters throughout the U.S.
Establish strong connections with organizations in under-resourced communities.
Collaborate with student volunteers to apply for caregiver respite grants through narratives
Help create cultural sensitivity training by compiling resources on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Time commitment:
3-5 hours/week
Alumni Network Coordinator
Job Description
Develop and execute strategies to engage alumni and encourage their participation in the organization’s programs and events
Plan and coordinate alumni events, networking opportunities, and professional development sessions
Communicate regularly with alumni to keep them informed about the organization's activities and opportunities to get involved
Foster relationships with key alumni leaders and volunteers to help support the alumni network
Work with colleagues across the organization to identify and leverage opportunities to engage alumni in various areas of the organization
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of alumni engagement and communications
Develop and implement plans to increase the size and diversity of the alumni network
Time commitment:
3-5 hours/week
Note: All responsibilities for every position will be carried out remotely online and is flexible with scheduling.
